There are two ways to travel to Kos. By plane or by boat.

If you choose to fly to Kos you’ll land in “Hippocrates” International Airport (KGS) which is about 25 km away from Kos town.

The airport handles all incoming and outgoing flights. It connects Kos with all major and most minor European cities through charter flights.

Also connects Kos with “Eleftherios Venizelos” Athens International Airport (ATH) and other Greek cities via the two Greek Airline companies.The two airline companies operate as one.

If you have chosen to visit Kos by boat, there are two ways to come.

One option is to come from mainland.

The boat departs from Piraeus which is the near port of Athens.

Another option is to come from another island. In this case, the best way to visit Kos is to contact a local Tourist agent who will help you to plan it.
